Fender's is now one of our favorite short trip destinations. Because of work schedules, we are only able to take two and three day trips from our home in Henderson/Las Vegas, NV. It was an easy 88 mile drive door to door. Be aware, the road going into Needles is one lane in each direction for several miles. All the nice things said about Rosie were correct. The park is not new. It is well maintained. Bathrooms/showers were clean. Grounds were maintained. They are fussy about scooping dog poop. We had a space on a bluff overlooking the river. There was grass from the front of the coach to the edge that featured a wooden deck with benches and table to eat outdoors and watch the water. Birds chirped and hummingbirds hummed. Very relaxing. Several full-timers and snowbirds while we were there. We would certainly consider that as a temporary long-term spot in the future. Internet is advertised. We were below the site line of the office so were unable to connect. Because of the fellow next to us who left his pickemup truck in the way, backing out would have been dicey for one with less than expert capabilities. Howevah, my wife did fine.
I can’t say enough about our stay at this park. We came through for a very brief stay and all personnel at this park were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The RV site itself was superbly maintained with beautiful landscaping and very clean. The elec, water, wifi, laundry facilities and dump provisions all functional. One thing I’m particularly picky about are the bathroom/showers. I was very pleased with the cleanliness, all the hot water I could use and the feeling of safety going to, while showering and fluffing and returning from the bathroom/shower. They also provided laundry facilities, which were clean, functional with folding tables and conveniently located in the same building with the lavatory/showers. The building was open with large windows and glass sliding doors that led out to a nice sitting area. I sat at one of the pick-nick tables on the porch and watched the river that ran behind surrounded by RV campers, had a nice boat ramp for boaters and kayakers beneath over-hanging fronds of large palm trees. It was a warm evening with a cool breeze. I brought a novel and was able to get everything done easily and actually enjoyed the time spent waiting on laundry to finish. The rigs were situated far enough apart that provided enough space to allow privacy. Daytime had a nice activity of people visiting, walking pets, going to the river, and late evening and night was quiet and restful at this park. We plan to return as soon as possible. I whole-heartedly recommend this park. Special thanks to Jean and Paul ;) Peggy Acker 12/20/14
