Tips on Using the Passport America Membership

For the past 25 years, Passport America continues to pride itself in providing both members and campground partners alike with the best possible club that rewards everyone in the program!

Here are a few tips on using the membership to make your stay more enjoyable.

1. IMPORTANT CAMPGROUND NOTES
Please read the Important Campground Notes section in the campground’s listing thoroughly before contacting the campground. Some participating parks have no limits on the amount of stay; however, some will let you stay monthly, some weekly, some for a few nights and some overnight for the 50% discount.
2. FOLLOW THE RULES
Each campground has their own set of rules for specific reasons, including safety. Campground etiquette requires that you adhere to all rules without exception.
3. RATES
As a Passport America member, you receive 50% off the nightly rate at participating campgrounds. The 50% discount is not applied to additional services offered at the campground (i.e. ice, propane, store, restaurant, etc.)
4. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY
Some participating parks may assess additional charges for some services or extra guests, all due to circumstances beyond their control. These are listed for your courtesy and should be paid in an honest manner (see Important Campground Notes for more information).
5. RESERVATIONS
Many campers like to plan ahead and most parks accept reservations. Be courteous when making reservations, as last minute changes may affect the campground’s system. Please note, some parks may require reservations. Members should check with each park for availability.
6. PAYMENT
Parks set their own nightly rates and may choose to accept only cash for payment at the discounted rate. Please check the notes in the park’s listing. Also, each park has their own refund policy. Please check with the park directly for more information.
7. CHECK IN/OUT ON TIME
Like hotels, campgrounds and RV Parks have check in/ out times. If you need a short extension, please make the request as early as possible.
8. LATE ARRIVALS, EARLY DEPARTURES
Always call if you’re not going to make your reservation. If you arrive late at a park or depart early, try to keep it to a minimum. Parks set office hours to better serve you, the camper.
9. BE A GOOD RV NEIGHBOR
Campers and campground staff members are some of the friendliest people you will meet. Be friendly, have fun, and always respect your camping neighbor’s space.
10. KEEP IT CLEAN
Always leave your campsites as clean as you find them. If a pet joins you, make sure they are picked up after.
