Quiet location with river access. Very good price, especially with Passport America. Sites are long and level. Wifi is quite good--enough to stream low res sites. No cable (but not necessary with good wifi). Sewer line backed up on me. Sites are not paved and in fact are a fine sand. After rain everything is coated with this silty sand. Some sort of paving or gravel would make this park much nicer.
I was on my way to Biloxi from the Daytona Beach Area. I was not able to check in till the Monday. I contacted River's Edge and they were very hospitable. Being so close to I-10 made it a perfect to stop. The camp ground was very clean and peaceful. Being along side a river made for a serene location. The sites are level, I didn't need to put my levelers down. I use to drive straight through to Biloxi. For now on I will stop here on my way there.
Have stayed in this campground several times now. It is a great natural setting with large shade trees. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is on the Yellow River with a boat ramp and fishing on the bank. It is peaceful and serene. The sites are grass and sand with sand roads. They have wi-fi too. We had no reception with satellite because of the trees but we do enjoy it here. We camped here in a 40ft diesel pusher. The place is also pet friendly.
We arrived, nice little camp ground, large spaces and beautiful setting .. lots of shade trees .. Sat TV won't work well /no big deal.Enjoy the river, staff friendly, sure would recommend ... nice and quiet too. $15 a night ... what a deal.
8/12/12. I love this campground. This is my second visit (May 2012 was the first). The campsites are huge and most are nicely shaded. All amenities are exactly as described and very well maintained. It is very quiet also.
