From I-40: Take 41 south until Hwy 60, go west on Hwy 60. Campground is 11 miles on the right. From: I-25: Take 60 east until you reach Mountainair. Campground is at the east end of town on the lefthand side.

Sunflower Festival (every year in August). Local attractions include: Gran Quivira Ruins, Abo Ruins, Quarai Ruins, Manzano Mountains, Manzano Mountain Art Council, Bosque Del Apache, and Cibola National Forest. Manzano Mountain Art Council & Salinas Pueblo Monuments have periodic events throughout the year.

My wife and I stayed here 2016 and it was ok. All were full timers with some run down rigs. Full hookups and no incidents. We toured the Native American ruins on either side of town.
