From Houston: Take Highway 59 North to Shepherd, TX, which is about 8 miles North of Cleveland TX. Take exit 453B toward S Byrd Ave. Take a left onto S Byrd Ave. Continue on S Byrd Ave (1.8mi.) Turn left at the red light onto Hwy 150. Continue on 150 0.3mi over railroad tracks and past an EXXON gas station on your right. Turn right on FM 222. There will be a sign saying Lake Livingston Dam. Continue on FM 222 for about 6.5 miles and we are on your right hand side.

We have stayed at the Rock'n E campground twice. Very clean and well maintained and the nicest people we have encountered in our travels. Two nice hiking trails that you and your dogs will love if you have dogs. The wife and I highly recommend the Rock'n E to anyone passing through or lives in the area. Less than a 10 minute drive from U.S.-59/I-69 so it's nice and quite.
