Convenient location and very clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool is great… could use better ventilation in the pool bathroom. We will definitely stay here again.
Had a blast very quiet and private.
Decent for a night stop over. Arrived about 3:30pm and received the next to last site! Michele is very nice and accommodating. She is updating the park with a new rec room. She said they plan for at least one pool table. There is some trucker noise as the park is along side of the road to Elm Creek. I am satisfied that we had FHU drive thru for $20.
Peaceful location with lovely trees and room between sites. Price is reasonable, especially with the PA discount. Within a reasonable distance to Seattle without being in the city. Sites are only 30 amp and my particular site had a bad post--the breaker would trip even if I ran one single 12.5 amp appliance. There is no sewer at the site and the central dump station is really tight to navigate.
nice little park. great clubhouse with clean bathrooms. site was level and all hookups worked great. it's close to the road but surprisingly quiet at night, and it was nice to be tucked into a little canopy of trees. my only complaints are the sites are very close together, the dog park is very small, and my neighbors started breaking down camp at 4 am and decided to have a full conversation about it under my bedroom window.
Very nice, quiet campground. The Managers were absolutely great, very helpful and just a nice couple. Thank you for your hospitality! We will be back
Follow their directions, we took the west route off I-10 arriving and left the east side. TAKE THE EAST ENTRANCE TO THE PARK. IT IS MUCH EASIER. I took several long walks up around the ponds and on the roads both directions. It's nice and quiet even on the roads with little traffic. We only stayed one night and I think there were only two sites open when we arrived, both were 30 amp. Simple park, clean and relaxing. We would have stayed a couple more nights if we would have given it more thought. It's hard to beat $15/night.
On I-10 headed east when we were a few days early on schedule. Our overnight stay turned into FOUR nights. Fishing ponds were used for nice evening and morning walks. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Due to the length of our stay, we made a trip to Walmart just a few miles away. We had very good Verizon signal.
Great place to spend a few days! Quiet and private. Fantastic museum.... need several days to see it all! Hope to be back!
Great long and level concrete pad to park the RV and car. Good water pressure. Easy entrance off Hwy 54. Very nice owner!!
Love this campground. Has its own theatre. Near downtown. Friendly, funny manager. Here is where you'll get to know the real Mountain View.
Nice place, level sites and helpful staff. Easy check in and not too much highway noise.
We stayed at Walnut Creek for three days starting April 10th 2024, they are working hard to make improvements and upgrade facilities in the park. The site we stayed in was huge - big enough for our 43 foot toy hauler, truck, SUV and boat with lots of room to spare and full hook ups!! Great water pressure, steady power and our Wi-Fi worked great. Really close to the town of Troy which seemed to have most every business you might need. Would definitely recommend this park especially for a 1-3 day stay.
I know I had written about this fantastic site once. But I in my short time of camping never seem TWO sewage holes at one site..I have two bathrooms and this makes it easier..The staff is really nice. I would definitely stop by again...
This was our second time at Rough Rider Rv Resort and as the first time, it was a great stay. It’s on our way home so it’s great to know that we can stop there, fit in the sites and have full hook ups. The staff were all very helpful, friendly and great to talk to. I am sure we will stop there again in the future and would recommend this Rv resort to anyone needing a spot to stop during their travels.
Camp on the Pioneer Village museum property and walk to see the attractions. Basic camping facility with hookups but can't beat the location.
We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff we encountered were very FRIENDLY. I would visit this RV Park again.
Heading home to Canada from Florida and had to find a spot to hide from the weather….found this little gem of a park!! Owner was on site, so helpful and friendly and so was the camp host couple….small park being upgraded with big spots and full hook ups!! Located in a small town so at night was so, so quiet and dark - great to sleep!! Had to extend our stay a couple times and they were more than accommodating with a spot. We will definitely go back and would recommend it for anyone wanting some peace & quiet.
Pro: beautiful place nestled in Ponderosa pines on top of mountain. Laundry, full hookup. Quiet with friendly mule deer begging. Sites r spacious Con: I0 miles of rough very dusty mountain road.
Great choice for a no frills, safe, clean one night stay!
